Curiously™: A Global Winner in the 2024 Learning Engineering Tools Competition

Curiously stood out among 1900+ teams from the globe as one of the winners in the 2024 Learning Engineering Tools Competition (https://tools-competition.org/), a multi-million dollar fund for edtech innovation organized by Schmidt Futures, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Jacob Foundation and OpenAI.

Incorporating research and best practices in large language models and retrieval augmented generation, the Curiously™ Learning Companion is a software framework with a no-code interface that helps educators easily build high-quality, customized AI Learning Companions for their classes. It works not only for lecture-based classes but also supports open-ended and project-based learning.

In collaboration with the FabLearn Fellowship’s existing global network in 24 different countries, we are also establishing partnerships among researchers, educators, and engineers to help push forward the design and implementation of customizable AI Learning Companion built with the Curiously™ toolkit in various learning contexts.
